End of Day Cash Closing Flow

Expected cash calculation, entering actual cash, variance tracking, and irreversible session closure.

Cash Reconciliation & Close Day Flow

At the end of the operating day, the Owner or Branch Manager performs the cash closing reconciliation.

1. Expected Cash: The system calculates the expected cash total derived automatically from all cash payments recorded in closed orders for the session.

2. Actual Cash: The user counts the physical cash in the drawer and enters the exact counted amount.

3. Variance: The system immediately calculates the difference (Variance = Actual Cash - Expected Cash).

4. Closing Notes: Optional explanation or notes regarding drawer discrepancies.

5. Close Day: Submitting the close action permanently locks the daily cash record.

Cash Closing is irreversible once submitted. However, closing the cash day does not halt ongoing restaurant operations or block new orders. The financial session may span midnight.
